ACI Certification Registration: General Information

The Washington Aggregates & Concrete Association provides the following certifications. Please click the appropriate certification program below for a detailed description of the requirements. Once classes become available, we recommend registering as soon as possible. Entry into a certification class is on a first-come, first-paid basis.

ACI Field Testing Certification

A Concrete Field Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to competently and properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete. ACI Strength Testing Certification

A Concrete Strength Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of four basic laboratory procedures related to the determination of concrete compressive and flexural strength. ACI Aggregate Technician Certification

An Aggregate Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of basic field and laboratory procedures for aggregates. ACI Adhesive Anchor

An Adhesive Anchor Installer is an individual who has demonstrated the ability to read, comprehend, and execute instructions to properly install adhesive anchors in concrete. The Adhesive Anchor Installer must also demonstrate possession of the knowledge to properly assess ambient conditions, concrete conditions, materials, equipment, and tools for installing adhesive anchors and determine when it is appropriate to proceed with the installation of an adhesive anchor or when additional guidance from a supervisor/foreman/project engineer is needed.

A minimum number of attendees is required to hold an exam. When we have enough students, your card will be charged, study materials will be sent, and a date will be set. 


ACI Concrete Flatwork Associate & Advanced Finisher Certification

  • An Advanced Flatwork Finisher is a craftsman who has demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure, and protect concrete flatwork.
  • A Concrete Flatwork Associate is a person who is knowledgeable about proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure, and protect concrete flatwork but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a Concrete Flatwork Finisher.
  • ACI Flatwork Finisher sessions are self-study.

SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION TESTING

(Typically Single Person Exam on Self-Study Basis). Please contact Ryan Matteson at 509.998.9003 for more details.

Registration Fees: Specialty Certifications are charged at various rates. Payment must be received with a completed registration form. The cost is subject to additional examiner fees and/or expenses.

Cancellation Policy: Once exams are ordered, a cancellation fee of $195 is applied. 


ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector

A Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector (CTCI) is a person who has demonstrated proficiency in concrete inspection methods for transportation projects, including pre-placement, placement, and post-placement operations.

ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector

Concrete Construction Special Inspector (CCSI) is qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during pre-placement, placement, and post-placement operations.
