ACI Strength Testing Certification Exam

Exam & Session Information

A short review session may be offered. As a reminder, this is not a training class. Registrants are expected to self-study and come to the exam prepared. Examinees will take the written exam and then immediately move to the performance exam portion of the test. After receiving your study guide, please study and be familiar with the following ASTM practices and test methods below:

• C617/C617M—Capping Cylindrical Concrete Specimens
• C1231/C1231M—Unbonded Caps for Concrete Cylinders
• C39/C39M—Compressive Strength of Cylindrical Concrete Specimens
• C78/C78M—Flexural Strength of Concrete

If you are unfamiliar with the testing equipment, we strongly recommend you familiarize yourself thoroughly with all testing equipment prior to the test. This is not a class for beginners and is NOT a comprehensive review of proper strength testing procedures as per these ASTM Standards.

Exam Fees

In order to receive the member rate for this exam you must be current on your membership dues at the time of registration. Registrations submitted at non-member rate CANNOT be adjusted to member rate once submitted. If you are unsure of your membership status, you can view a list of our current member companies here. 

Rates may change based on class size or a planned session may be rescheduled until more examinees register. Rates may be subject to change due to ACI National rate increases.

Important Information

PPE Required
Lafarge|Holcim requires safety glasses, hard hat, and a vest to enter their facility.  Please be sure to have all items to attend.  There will be no exceptions.

This is NOT a Training Class - Come Prepared!
If a review session is provided, it is only intended to expand upon and support examinee and employer training efforts.  It will not fully prepare the Technician for the written OR practical exams.. Technicians are expected to be fully familiar with ASTM standards and competent in demonstrating testing equipment procedures used to properly conduct testing methods in accordance with ASTM standards.  Not all examiners will provide an extensive review session.

Study Materials
The ACI Strength Testing Technician workbook will ONLY be sent once payment is received.  We recommend you pay with a credit card to avoid delays.

Identification
Must bring proper photo ID to the exam.

ADA Requests: If you need special accommodations, request accommodations in writing and in advance of the class with a letter from your primary physician. 
Provide written requests along with your registration. ADA requests the day of the session(s) will result in not taking the exam.

Cancellation Policy

Reschedule
Request to reschedule must be made at least 1 week prior to the exam.  Registration will be moved to the next available certification exam date in your area.

Cancellation & Refund
Refunds are provided less $100 for the study guide and processing fees.

No Shows
Registration fees will not be refunded or be carried over to another exam.  Be courteous, cancel ahead of time.
