ACI Certifications


The Washington Aggregates & Concrete Association provides the following certifications.  For a detailed description of the certification requirements, please click the appropriate certification program below.  Once classes become available, we recommend you register as soon as possible. Entry into a certification class is based on a first come, first paid basis.

GENERAL CERTIFICATIONS

Certifications are only conducted September-June and are not done during summer months.   Classes are usually held in either Seattle or Spokane.  For a list of current classes, please visit the Events page.
Individual certifications WILL NOT be done on demand.  Please check your expiration dates and plan accordingly.

Registration Fees:
General Certification are charged at the rate of:
Member Rate 
- $335,  Non-Member Rate - $395, or  Re-Exam fee - $175 

Cancellation Policy:
1. Cancellation & Reschedule: Registration fee will be applied to the next available certification class.
2. Cancellation & Refund: Refunds are given less $100 for study materials and $20 processing fee.
3. NO SHOWS: WILL NOT BE REFUNDED AND FUNDS WILL NOT BE CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT CLASS. 

 

ACI Field Testing Certification


A Concrete Field Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability competently and properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete.  For more information on this class, please visit the ACI Field Technician Certification Program page on ACI National's website.


ACI Strength Testing Certification


A Concrete Strength Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of four basic laboratory procedures related to the determination of concrete compressive and flexural strength.  For more information on this class, please visit the ACI Strength Testing Technician Certification page on ACI National's website.


ACI Aggregate Technician Certification


An Aggregate Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of basic field and laboratory procedures for aggregates.  For more information on this class, please visit the ACI Aggregate Technician Certification page on ACI National's website.


ACI Concrete Flatwork Finisher/Technician Certification

  • A Concrete Flatwork Finisher is a craftsman who has demonstrated knowledge about and the ability to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork.
  • A Concrete Flatwork Technician is a person who is knowledgeable about proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork, but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a Concrete Flatwork Finisher.

SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION TESTING
(Typically Single Person Exam on an As-Needed Basis)

Registration Fees:
Specialty Certifications are charged at the rate of $425
Payment must be received with a completed registration form.
Cost subject to additional examiner fees and/or expenses.

Cancellation Policy:
Once exams are ordered, a cancellation fee of $195 is applied. 
 

ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector


A Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector is a person who has demonstrated proficiency in concrete inspection methods for transportation projects, including pre-placement, placement, and post-placement operations.

ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector


Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during pre-placement, placement, and post-placement operations.
