ACI Aggregate Testing Certification Exam

Exam Information

A short review session may be offered.  As a reminder, this is not a training class.  Registrants are expected to self-study and come to the exam prepared.  Examinees will take the written exam and then immediately move to the performance exam portion of the test.  After receiving your study guide, please study and be familiar with the following ASTM practices and test methods below:

• T2–91—Sampling Aggregates  /  D75–03—Sampling Aggregates
• T248–11—Reducing Samples of Aggregate to Testing Size  /  C702–98—Reducing Samples of Aggregate to Testing Size
• T11–05—Materials Finer Than 75-µm (No. 200) Sieve in Mineral Aggregates by Washing
• C117–04—Materials Finer Than 75-µm (No. 200) Sieve in Mineral Aggregates by Washing
• T27–11—Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates / C136–06—Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates
• T85–10—Specific Gravity and Absorption of Coarse Aggregate / C127–04—Specific Gravity and Absorption of Coarse Aggregate
• T84–10—Specific Gravity and Absorption of Fine Aggregate / C128–07a—Specific Gravity and Absorption of Fine Aggregate
• T255–00—Total Moisture Content of Aggregate by Drying  / C566–97—Total Moisture Content of Aggregate by Drying
• T21–05—Organic Impurities in Fine Aggregate for Concrete / C40–04—Organic Impurities in Fine Aggregate for Concrete

Please review each standard thoroughly and highlight areas of significance.   The written test will cover all 8 ASTM standards and will consist of 8 to 12 multiple choice questions for each standard.  This is a 2 hour OPEN book test..

Exam Fees

In order to receive the member rate for this exam you must be current on your membership dues at the time of registration. Registrations submitted at non-member rate CANNOT be adjusted to member rate once submitted. If you are unsure of your membership status, you can view a list of our current member companies here.

Flat Rate:  $185.00

Important Information

This is NOT a Training Class - Come Prepared!
If a review session is provided, it is only intended to expand upon and support examinee and employer training efforts.  It will not fully prepare the Technician for the written OR practical portions of the tests. Technicians are expected to be fully familiar with ASTM standards and competent in demonstrating testing equipment procedures used to properly conduct testing methods in accordance with ASTM standards.  Not all examiners will provide an extensive review session.

Study Materials
The ACI Aggregate Testing Technician workbook will ONLY be sent once payment is received.  We recommend you pay with a credit card to avoid delays.

Identification
Please bring proper photo ID to the exam.

Cancellation Policy

Reschedule
Must be done at least 1 week prior to the exam.  Funds will be moved to the next available certification exam date in your area.

Cancellation & Refund
Refunds are given less $100 for the study guide and processing fees.

No Shows
Funds will not be refunded or be carried over to another exam.  Be courteous, cancel ahead of time.
