8:30am Deputy Assistant Secretary Wayne Palmer - MSHA (Washington, DC) A Roundtable opportunity to hear from the agency on building industry relationships, understand developing areas of emphasis, use of technology and provide regional input to our agency partners on insuring everyone goes home safely every day.
12:00pm 1st Annual Association Safety Award Presentation Wyatt Andrews Western Regional Manager; MSHA (Invited pending agency budgets)
1:30pm New Inspection Tools & Technology Presented by: Tom Rasmussen, MSHA Inspector & Regional Trainer / Kent Field Office MSHA will be adopting the use of digital technology in 2018 to improve inspector communications, data and information availability from inspections. What will be learning curves for the agency and operators, benefits and challenges? An overview of this new tool for the agency.

Wayne Palmer, Deputy Assistant Secretary - MSHA Wayne D. Palmer is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy, Mine Safety and Health Administration, and Acting Assistant Secretary pending permanent confirmation. He was appointed to the position in August 2017, following engagements as Senior White House Advisor for the Department of Labor and Chief of Staff to Secretary R. Alexander Acosta.Mr. Palmer previously served as Senior Manager of Congressional Relations at the nonpartisan Center for Presidential Transition, where he armed presidential transition teams with innovative tools to navigate the Senate confirmation process effectively.

In order to receive the member rate for this event, you must be a member of WACA, OCAPA, ICAPA. Once a form is submitted, the rate cannot be changed. If you are unsure of your member rate with WACA, please click Membership > Membership List on our menu bar. If you company is listed under the WACA Member Directory, you are current on your dues.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Refund Refunds are given less $10 processing fee. Substitutions are allowed at no additional fee.
No Shows Funds will not be refunded or be carried over to another training date. Be courteous, cancel ahead of time.
